OUR WORK

Hennessey Event Center
Hennessey, Oklahoma

The town was named after Pat Hennessey, an Irish freighter who was killed in 1874. After much agricultural and railway growth the town was incorporated in 1890.

The town has endured its ups and down both economically and population but with the oil boom in the 1950’s the town flourished.
Today the future is bright with its schools and focus on education, Hennessey boasts almost 900 students with one of the states highest concentration of top ranked public schools in Oklahoma.

When the district decided to invest in a state of the art sports facility we were asked to team up with architect Michael McCoy to maximize sound abatement for the new domed complex. As a team effort we came up with acoustic clouds as well as acoustical panels on the walls to squelch the noise levels and reverberations in the arena, upper walking track and foyer areas, making the entire experience a pleasant one.

Beggs Event Center
Beggs, Oklahoma

The small town of Beggs was named for C.H. Beggs vice president of the St. Louis-San Francisco railway. The first post office established this town in September of 1900. However oil was what caused this little town to boom.

The town has taken pride in their city by revitalizing Legacy Park with new playground equipment, a pavilion and picnic tables they also have fairgrounds and a rodeo arena. If water is your choice of fun, New Beggs lake offers water recreation for the entire family and large mouth bass being the predominant catch of the day, you’re sure to have plenty of fun and sun!

Known as the Beggs demons their student population has a little over 1000 students registered but the town of Beggs takes pride in their children by adding an event center dome that allows for plays, concerts and meeting spaces along with a small dome for their basketball team.

Cleveland Public School
Cleveland, Oklahoma

The primary cafeteria/storm shelter was built to protect student and staff from the ravaging tornadoes Oklahoma is known for. Due to the long rectangular shape of the building and low open ceilings the sound level and echo had no where to go except to bounce from one end of the building to the other, during lunch the sound was so bad the teachers resorted to communicating through text messages. Using a combination of angled panels, AcoustaCurve panels and ceiling baffles we were able to achieve library quality sound.

The Cleveland School district is a quaint town in Pawnee County OK., nestled close to Keystone Lake, the town was named after President Grover Cleveland.

Collinsville High School
Collinsville, Oklahoma

Our company was asked to provide a solution to the sound issues in the high schools new gymnasium. Upon our recommendation acoustical panels were installed around the perimeter of the walls to provide excellent sound quality during assembly’s pep rally’s and basketball games.

Collinsville was established in May 1897 for Dr. A.H. Collins, with its beginnings in sulfur free coal mining as the primary source of economical growth, over the decades as mining dwindled the town turn to agriculture. In 1948 Collinsville was dubbed the “dairy capital of Oklahoma”

From 1994-2003 the Collinsville Cardinals band distinguish itself by winning 10 consecutive state championships.

Pawnee Public School
Pawnee, Oklahoma

Superintendent Ned Williams researched the best method to protect our children by building a dome storm shelter that doubles as an indoor playground during inclement weather. Domes are the perfect solution to whatever Mother Nature throws at it, however they come with a unique set of acoustical challenges, as a result of these issues the school was using it for emergency use only and not for the multipurpose reasons it was intended for.

Due to the intense reverb and sound pressure in the building, strategically angled and placed ceiling clouds were integral to resolving both issues thus making it the perfect venue to meet the schools needs.

Hartshorne Event Center
Hartshone, Oklahoma

Completed in 2018 as a premier sports facility and storm shelter, this 28,000 square foot monolithic dome is as beautiful and unique as the town it was built in. Rich in coal mining history, the school adopted its mascot as the Miners.

Superintendent Jason Lindley knew from the beginning he wanted to build a monolithic dome for its energy savings as well as ability to stand up to an EF5 tornado. He is quoted in an article by the McAlester News-Capital that the first time guests were welcomed to the facility at the grand opening they were shocked their town had such a state-of-the-art facility.

Architect Michael McCoy worked closely with owner and acoustical engineer Porter Falcon of Falcon Audio Video to ensure the sound quality of the dome since dome facilities come with their own unique set of challenges when it comes to sound abatement. Working closely with the architect during the design phase established the goals needed to acquire the necessary acoustical outcome. Using our exclusive AcoustaCurve panels, acoustic ceiling tiles and placement of walls we were able to achieve the maximum sound quality.

Minco Public School
Minco, Oklahoma

Minco is a Choctaw word meaning “chief”. Horse races and polo attracted people to Minco in the early 1900’s, in fact, the race horse U-See-It was the mother of the 1924 Kentucky Derby winner Black Gold.

Minco has experienced many different kinds of economies from railroads to a shipping hub for cattle, hogs and cotton but the town know as the “land of milk and honey” celebrates its rich and diverse history by having a Honey Festival every December. Established in 1902 this town is buzzing with growth and know for its quaint boutique shopping.

Don’t let the size of this little school district fool you, they have big dreams and visions for its students by investing in a new elementary cafeteria/safe room, new middle school and foyer.

Using a combination of wall and ceiling treatments we were able to eliminate bass and reverb, we want your new facilities sounding as great as they look all while using school colors to show off that Minco pride.

Cleveland Event Center
Cleveland, Oklahoma

The school district wanted to build an events center to house their basketball team, the Cleveland Tigers, as well as host tournaments and other events. The foyer was floor to ceiling glass and a semi-curved ceiling presented a reverb that made having a conversation impossible, using our exclusive AcoustaCurve panels on the walls and flat panels that followed the curve of the ceiling we completely removed the reverb and achieved the quality of conversation needed.
